They tax drug dealers,the Kray twins etc kept local thuggery down. What a load of rubbish! These people demanded money,protection from local businesses.
Does your city or town have these type of thugs?

when i woz a screw, there was 1 guy who was a local gangster, he was kinda robin hood type. He ran a gang who would do smash and grab raids on jewlers. He would then give out a large portion of the proceceds, to mostly old people. He was well liked in his community. I met him several times and he was what can be describe as an old fashioned, ''Ok gov, fair cop'' type. One could possibly say he was a nice guy. * +
