His choice, of course it was. Not jailed or found guilty of anything in the UK. Accused of something in Sweden hence the extradition request. Guilty or not? We don't know. The UK taxpayer had to pay millions of pounds for policing the embassy where he was taking refuge. Let's also not forget his stupidity cost many people their lives in Afghanistan by revealing the names of those afghans who'd helped British and American forces to the taliban * +

that would make sense if you'd written his choice only instead of his only choice.

I had the police turn up at my front door once looking for someone who didn't live there. why were they looking for him ? because he'd attempted to r*pe someone and had given a false address and then been set free to return for a court date.

so we don't even keep people accused of r*pe in jail in this country, in other words the authorities made a choice in relation to Assange that they don't bother making for anyone else here. not that the amount of money spent on him has any baring whatsoever on whether there was a political motivation behind his case other than to support that there was.

the points you've raised aren't anything to do with whether or not he was treated differently from others and more about what you think of him, that's not the subject here. *
