Leaked report says that at the Shrewsbury and Telford hospital over a period of at least 40 years at least 40 deaths could have been avoided in the maternity department with many others left with lifelong injuries. Many cases are still being investigated * +

I think someone needs to create a pinned topic about NHS outrages.

Heh, one death a year...
We had our daughter at the hospital of another town, because Milton Keynes General had a reputation for killing babies. * +

Not really a laughing matter mikey. It may be only 1 a year that have been confirmed but there are at least another 200 cases still under investigation.

It's small fry, obi - it's probably burying bad news. There are inconsistencies all over the UK and you can be sure you don't get to hear of many.
Did you hear about the particularly high number of newborn deaths at MKG 8-10 years ago? Probably not, as with so many localised failures within the NHS. * +

900 cases now being investigated * +
