What should be done to end this hostility:
1. International community to set up the formation of Palestine.. no Gaza, no West Bank.. they're not even countries and are not taken seriously.
2. ICC in the Hague, Netherlands, must investigate incidents of War Crimes.
3. Demonisation of ordinary Palestinians at hands of Christian fundamentalists, etc must end and vice versa, i.e. demonisation of Israeli Jewish civilians at hands of Muslims etc. This is how and why they remain hostile to each other. Both parties must stop playing victim/crying wolf. Stop acting like children, own up for shortcomings and sit down at the diplomacy table and discuss how the two sides can create a Palestinian nation. * +

And yes, Israeli settlements in the West Bank will continue without end until West Bank becomes it's own proper self-governing entity with International recognition, more so at least.
The Knesset will eventually give in.. * +

There are no pragmatists on the Palestinian side. If they don't understand after 50 years that violence isn't an option for them to use then they will never understand. And the Israeli's will be happy for the status quo to be maintained because it justifies their massive military budget. I'll say it again, groups like Hamas are more useful to the Israeli's than the most right wing factions in their own government. * +

I'm assuming none of that. I don't care who started firing and I'm under no illusion that the Israeli's will stop attacking or expanding settlements even if their is no violence from the Palestinians. My argument is one of optics not who fired first or who is responding to who. *
