My dad expected me to. He tried to get me to come out fighting. He'd shout at me that I was useless, a nobody, and will never amount to anything, nobody would like me, etc.. he was a prick. I was a very quiet kid who never reacted to anything, and that made him scared for me.

Thing is, it doesn't matter how much you scream and shout at a fish, you can't make it climb a tree. * +
