do you DIY ? or do you pay someone that knows what they are doing ?. Our kitchen mixer tap hose has suddenly sprung a leak, i bought a new one off ebay, mrs T wants me to fix it. Since i know less than fk all about plumbing, it could be a problem. Been on tinterweb and it seems easy enough. Only time will tell. Also had the waterboard out last week to fix 3 leaks so we got a lot of air in the pipes, when you turn the tap on the whole house shakes rattles and rolls. Hopefully by turning the water off to fix the hose, it should also fix the air in the pipes fingers crossed. * +

turning the water off will make the air lock worse as piping ahead of the stopc0ck will be empty of water. when you turn it back on try running the taps very low for 5 mins.

I've replaced the flush siphon on a toilet, and changed the cart or valves inside taps.

one thing I couldn't manage was adjusting the hinges on a UPVC door that wasn't hung on the level.youtube has lots of tradesmen making themselves less needed. * +

thumbs_up.gif will certainly try running the taps on low. Got the water off. Good job I got long arms as the stop tap is very deeply buried. * +

there's sometimes another one inside the house, there's one under the stairs and in the front garden here.
