Remember when the 'Austerity' button was pressed by David Cameron 14yrs ago (6yrs before the referendum even took place), in 2010 - and we were hit with a monumental rise in VAT from 17.5 percent to 20 percent..?

The biggest tax grab from the lower classes in known history.

And here we are, still in austerity, still paying 20 percent on pretty much everything, despite the damage it's done. * +

Austerity was never planned to be a stop gap solution. Cameron even said (a year or so later) 'Brits will have to get used to this'.
Double whammy'. 'Cost of living crisis' both phrases used to mentally soften the blow.
Brexit has made life a lot worse for many many Brits. * +

You mean asylum seekers? I think they get about 40 quid a week to live on.

Hackney food banks regularly support asylum seekers from Syria,Afghanistan,Egypt,Somalia,Iran,Bolivia and Columbia..to name but a few. * +
