I wouldn't have been surprised if Labour had taken them either, they'll take anyone.apart from socialists,of course

Labour are no longer accepting Socialists or socialist linked policies. They are the Labour-Cervative Party now..with emphasis on Conservative policies. * +

Doesn't say much for them, does it.

Taylor Swift, an American singer, has donated more money to UK food banks on her UK tour than the Tories have in their entire 14yrs in power.

That's a national shame.

It's Tory policy. Jacob Reece Mogg even praised food banks. Iain Duncan Smith had his photo taken at several.
Their logic is 'isn't it wonderful that people donate to help out others'!
They create the need for food banks with their policies then praise them. * +

I've read recently of food bank users being given opened packets of crisps and half packets of biscuits.
Users having no gas or electricity to heat their donated tins of beans and spaghetti.
In 2024 this is an absolute disgrace.

That's the thing with food banks, when households have more cash left over then they are more likely to donate. When bills keep going up like they have been then people are going to tighten their belt. * +

I think this is a bluff from Labour, soon as they get in to power they'll not see through any of their right leaning policies. They're just using it to get back the people who voted Tory in 2019. * +

It's often the case that those with least give most to others in need.

We are in a so called cost of living crisis..it's actually the norm by the way. The average family is 2000 pounds a year worse off..partly due to Brexit by the way!
Food banks and food bank usage has increased almost exponentially so go marry those two facts. * +
