So on friday me and my bf were going to a funeral,cutting it fine as usual,just about to get in the car when the cutest little dog ran out from the main road n sat in front of me.so i looked around for an owner,walked back to the road with him but no sign of anyone..we couldnt leave him in the road and i couldnt put him in my flat with my cat.im trying the number on his collar but it's going to answerphone * +

So we put him in the car and took him with us,dear little soul he is,as good as gold..the wake from the funeral was at one of our local pubs just up the road from our nearest vet.so we took him to see if he's chipped.he is..but tgey cant get an answer on either of the numbers they have either..and it isnt up to them to hand out an address i dont think.so we left our details n took him to the pub everyone who meets him wants him lol.anyway,i kept trying the number all evening and in the end we had to take him to my bfs house for the night,with his dog..and they love eachother.i really want this dog..the next day we brought him to meet my cat and then tried reporting him found at the police station.we tried our best,the little guy is adorableand seems well loved.so we decided to walk around the streets to see where he recognised * +

Just around the corner a woman pulls up in a car and she has printed out posters with his pics ready to put them up.she says he belongs to her friend who isnt very well andshe takes our phone number.so we walked charlie home n said goodbye to him,and she presumably passed him back to his owner.later that night we get a phonecall from the guy,he is really emotional and relieved and wants us round in the morning for breakfast lol.turns out he is 68 and lost his wife to dementia in december.he said the dog keeps him alive..ive seen him around for years,he's a nice guy..so we spent the day with him,got drunk,fussed charlie,got fed and made a new friend.we'll do it again soon.the end lol * +
