At the very least, it's an infinitely more plausible theory than the one about there being an isolated population of Plesiosaurs that somehow managed to survive whilst the rest of their species became extinct millions of years ago. * +

Except that it couldn't be a 'giant sea lizard'nono.gif Lizards are reptiles and the recent survey of the loch by scientists from New Zealand, which sampled and analyzed water from all areas and depths of the loch looking for DNA traces from anything living there, identified 5million+ different DNA traces but there was no reptilian DNA in there at all. None. Nada. Zilch. Sweet FA.

It's a weird place loch Ness. They have some seals when they are swimming and pop up out the water it's scary. * +

There's fresh water seals in Lake Baikal (adapted from sea ancestors from Russian Arctic) and in a couple of lakes in Finland (I'm sure)
Also Canada's Hudson Bay has unusual seals there. * +
