No it didnt. How was the egg formed without a chicken..?!

The chicken didn't used to lay eggs, it carried pregnancy. It evolved to lay eggs so it could hide them, as chickens were under attack from strong prey, and pregnant chickens had no chance. * +

this is perhaps why , when as a child I asked my mum where did I come from.
She just said you were found under a gooseberry bush.

And if I got home and mum wasn't there.
Asking dad where mum was,usually got the answer she's run off with a black man.
