i don't know what a home body is but I saw this on my friends fb and i remember being 17 and just finished training and my unit was in Northern Ireland, I couldn't go because dead 17 year olds wouldnt have looked good in the press, I went out there a week after turning 18 and it was to be the first of many tours to the place, my last time there was 2004 for a marching season. I went back as a civvie and took my ex wife on a guided tour of the Falls road and Shankill. * +

Erm, no, my job doesn't make me. But I have chosen to do something I enjoy, that doesn't stress me, and that gives me 200 days off a year. That's at least a reflection on me.

At 17 I was a caterer, drove a beige Ford Escort, and lived in a house share. I was in that situ because that was the best deal at the time - not because I was any better or not than anyone else, at whatever point in their lives. * +

The army turned me into a bit of a n*b really, I remember coming home on leave and taking the piss out of one of my sisters mates who had an acne problem, they never spoke to me again. My humour was a lot different to theirs. * +

Aye yagotta be thick skinned t be army/navy/airforce. Ein oh my bothers is a sapper. He changed. I would like to say for the better. He will yell you some epic stories of both life and death.

I chose the care sector. Social work with children. I see a different side of life and death. Av been knocked sideways with things av seen kids and young adults deal with. Is it what it made me? Dunno i enjoy it v v v v much. Its me * +
