Beautiful thing, a matt monotone mid-dark green colour like Nato green (might be a more vibrant hue to normal sighted people). Finely visible scales, it was flawless. Quite surreal, the way it moved.

It wasn't appearing to be in a panic-hurry like some creatures who flee people, but it wasn't hanging around for a photo either - just gracefully weaved off into the grass-licked bushes. * +

You'll be ok.There are no snakes in Ireland.Didn't St Patrick chase them all away..

Here in England,Scotland and Wales we have adders, grass snakes and slow worms.
Only the adders are dangerous. * +
