So is it right that a person should lose their job over something they post on Facebook? Asda say it brings the company into disrepute.
Should your FB and other social media stuff be deemed as personal and nothing to do with the company you work for? * +

I'd go for unfair dismissal. Should be in line for a bit of compo. Freedom of expression is being attacked though. Some people are even helping and willing to surrender it freely, whilst they still can... * +

yes of course, it's nonsense that it's any of their business.
outside of work hours should be exactly that, unless there's a case to be made that what you reveal impacts on your ability to do your job professionally. * +

Then again if he had posted footage of himself ranting on in a racist way then I see no problem with sacking him. Ultimately I am a bit torn over this...I can't decide really either way. He posted a clip of a comedians act that's all. What if he had posted it and said ''This is outrageous''?
