Lack of thoughts.

If all thoughts stopped in your head would you be dead?
If we saw things,had awareness but no thoughts occurred what state of mind if any would that be?

Shift worker here.. and i occasionally run on autopilot. And even then, vaguely. No clue on the details of five seconds ago, and no faith in anything i may have done before that time. In this state, i can't even add 2+3, or even focus on the fact i'm supposed to be adding it at all. It's a surreal spectatoristic experience. Consciousness, a vague background understanding of where i am, but that's about it. The fundamental platform of existence is always there, though. Even when i don't know if i'm awake or asleep.

You wouldn't be dead, you'd just be living a random life. It would have no bearing on the life viewing except as an obstruction.

You cannot incidentally be 'aware' without having the process of thought.

If you are a life form, you must survive. Therefore, you eat or imbibe nutrients that sustain your life. The only life forms with awareness without thought are plants, but some would debate that.
