I've had a cystoscopy. Next up I have to have a CT scan to determine if I need a Ureterscopy or a Percutaneous nephrolithotomy. First one goes in down the old chap and through the bladder to get to the kidneys but you get to go home on the same day, whilst the second is a keyhole surgery through the lower back and is a 1 or 2 night stay in hospital. Both are performed under a general anaesthetic and use a laser to break up the stone. * +
