I believe you need lessons before you can go out and scuba somewhere. I know that there's a place in my (very inland) city that does lessons. Just Google it in your area... That said, I think it would be an amazing experience to scuba at a reef. I think I'll add that to my bucket list. * +

Medical, some classroom work and starting out in a swimming pool. I got to the swimming pool part but never continued. Its for a PADI licence. I keep thinking about doing it again . * +

I don't think a license is required for it, but I'd guess having some training would be useful. You could hurt yourself (die) if you just go rogue lol * +
