I do not mean here at Pro and the likes...

but if too thin models and airbrushed / filtered pics of models can be bad for teenage girls.

aren't these filters the same?

I have 2 absolutely gorgeous teenage nieces (although I am a bit biased I am also critical enough to see how absolutely beautiful they are and their flaws) and every pic of theirs is filtered...

what's your opinion on these filters and teenage girls in particular. * +

how long before girls want cosmetic surgery to look like their pics...

and yes Sis most of them need no help in looking prettier as they are already gorgeous.

couple of days ago mrs T was txting a mate of hers, mrs T went for a pee and her txt notification went off she said have a look what it says. So i opened it and im looking at the pic of her mate. I said she looked different just couldnt put my finger on what was different about her. Mrs T said she used some app that makes her look prettier. I have 2 filter apps up on the playstore the kind of apps ppl of pro use, they just make you look weirder not really prettier. * +

The pressure to look a certain way has been around since time began. And it just goes around in circles.

The same people moaning about how models dress, dress a certain way themselves in order to push an identity..

Men are told we haven't gotta live up to looking like 'real men' anymore, by people who make themselves look a certain way to fit that group.

All fashions are the same - the car scene is savage! The stick you'll get from other car enthusiasts if you've customised your car wrong.. it's still pressure to conform.

Looks are very much a girl thing. Men will show off their cars, gardens, barbecues... whatever but with women it's all faces and body. So that's where the interest is, criticism, controversy, drama.. and mostly from other women.

Cue ''look at my dinner'' or ''look how much my brat has achieved'' by all the uglies on Facebook. * +

The apps that make you look good are effective. I used one that changed my face from male to female, and it was quite convincing, so if they can do that then how effective a smooth-over?

You want to look good, right?

So if you're gonna stand there and take 20 selfies, and pick the best one, then why not a smoothie app..? Why are you trying to look your best in the first place...? * +
