It could lead to discrimination but then again if you get the job they will see what you look like anyway. * +

they can ask for what they want if the applicant supplies it or not is up to them,

Depends on the position. Sometimes looks are a factor. Sometimes they're not.
I'd be more concerned if a director wanted a pretty secretary in a private office, than selling cosmetics to the public. And nobody wants a fatty in their Sandwich bar. * +
