I've just read two headlines that use the word Queer when asking if straight people should play the roles of Queer characters in movies and tv shows. * +

were those two headlines in gay publications ? amongst themselves gay people have pretty much reclaimed the word and use it freely.
don't think it follows that the rest of us can use it the way they do and sound legitimate. * +
