A driver towing Father Christmas after a country Christmas pageant has been fined 300 dollars for having Santa as an unsecured passenger

The ute and its cargo, a sleigh with Father Christmas, was making its way back through the streets of Morgan in the Riverland after the pageant when they were stopped by a police officer from Waikerie.
Father Christmas had finished handing out more than 200 bags of lollies to children when he jumped back on his float at 8:30 pm.. The streets of Morgan had been closed until 8 pm but were reopened before Santa made his fateful journey. * +
