The cancer rates continue to soar. In the 1960s it used to be that roughly 1 in every 8 people would get cancer in one form or another at some point in their lives, by the 1990s that had risen to about 1 in every 4 or 5. Today the rate is very nearly 1 in 2, or in other words almost HALF of us can now expect to get it in some form and if that's not depressing enough for you, it's predicted that by 2030 it will have risen to a rate of 3 out of every 4. * +
