Shot dead a rare Snow leopard when it escaped from a cage after a keeper left the door open. No members of the public around but they said it would have taken too long to tranquilise it. Poor animal. I hate zoo's * +

Take too long to tranquilizer it? Done they have tranquilizer guns or even shoot to maim but not kill techniques.

I've been put off zoos, went to one in Thailand and people having their photos taken with a drugged up tiger, people sticking their heads in the mouth of a crocodile, saw an elephant show and they was making the elephants do tricks and getting the audience out to lay down and have them step over them, a lady sat on a bench covered from head to toe in scorpions and I thought thats it, im not going to this zoo anymore, i didnt want the usual photo sat stroking a drugged up tiger either that loads get in Thailand. Amazes me sometimes Thailand with its double standards and supposed to be strict Buddhist. * +
