In human society,whether it is tribal or civilized..2 occasions are mostly given importance viz.birth and death..the former is praised while later is mourned..how much any of this realy matters.. * +

Not in all human societies, Many cultures celebrate death, some view life as suffering, and few see them both connected in a single chain and thus neither rejoice nor mourn. In Bali, during the festival of negaben, a dead body is openly displayed as if they are only sound asleep, and the family will continue to treat the deceased as if they were alive. No one sheds tears because the deceased would only be reincarnated or attain enlightenment.
You could even see festivities around death in some African countries such as Madagascar where people remove dead bodies of their ancestors from their family tombs and re-wrap them in fresh cloth, then dance with the corpses around the tomb to live music.
In the west, death is often perceived far more individually and personally than many other societies, and that's very much due to how historically, the Christian religion put forth the idea that after death, the good and bad deeds would be weighed against each other, and based on those deeds they would either be damned in hell or go to heaven. Perhaps it is this individuality attributed to death that makes death and dying such a taboo topic in the west and ensures that it remains hidden from our eyes, while making it a social obligation to mourn a loss of a person? * +
