It saved enough for them to give quid.gif80billion quids worth of tax cuts to the richest 10'/. and they still let some of the biggest global mega-corporations get away with paying virtually no tax at all.

I think the only fair way to tax people would be to have 1 single flat tax rate for all, so that everybody pays at the same rate. I don't know what that should be but let's just for instance say a flat rate of 10'/. , so someone earning 1000 quid would pay 100 quid of that to the taxman, whilst someone earning 10,000 quid would pay 1000 quid, 100,000 quid pays 10,000 and a million quid would pay 100,000.
As it is now it doesn't seem fair that the poorest people end up having to pay a higher proportion of what they earn than the richest people do.

we borrowed (indirectly thru government bonds) from banks and other institutions so we could pay off the debts of banks.

we should have loaned it to them instead and charged interest.

Lol.gif The poorest dont pay the highest percentage of tax and your single tax rate for everyone would leave the poorest worse off.
