See this argument has started up again. Yes he certainly made some nasty comments about Indians. Although back in the 30's many probably had the same view. Blamed also for the bengal famine by some which is harsh. Think he was a flawed genius and not a racist as shown by him standing up to Hitler * +

no idea whether he was or not, don't care that much either. but standing up to Hitler isn't proof that he wasn't. most European countries had mutual defence pacts. * +
