Now I don't mean robbing stuff and selling it on.
Let's say you had been in prison and upon your release you wrote a book about your experience. Wouldn't that technically be making money from your crime? * +

No because writing a book isnt illegal * +

I think there was a Tory MP who did this. Jonathon Aitkin?
I'm pretty sure quite a few others have done this..write books about their crimes and time in clink.
Is it enterprising or is it downright wrong in your opinion? * +

I understand that Dan. However if i wrote a book about shoplifting and it sold well would you think that is acceptable? Assuming i wasnt giving hints and advice on how to do it. My point is the authors are making money due to them commiting crimes. * +

Isn't that making money from your rehabilitation? * +

Jeffery Archer? Or was he just an author anyway? * +

They're making money on sharing life experience. That isn't wrong imo, no.

Let's look at it differently. I have a car crash and the other motorist dies. I write a book, 'My Nightmare Journey'.
I'm profiting from someone's death... * +
