Correct. Maritime law states that you must make all reasonable efforts to provide aid and assistance to stricken vessels, unless doing so would present a serious and imminent danger to the responding vessel and/or it's crew. Even in wartime, when an enemy vessel is sunk, you are obligated to pick up any surviving enemy sailors if you possibly can. *
