Jailed for 14 months at Southampton crown court for refusing to give his Facebook password to police investigating the death of 13yr old Lucy mchugh. Said doing so would reveal cannabis deals. Glad he's been jailed but in cases like this police should be allowed to access social media accounts immediately if they get a court order * +

He should tell them it's his 'safe space', he might get away with it then..

It's tricky, because if he has information regarding the girl then he's witholding it.
But he doesn't need to share other aspects of his private life with them.

His fault though. He shoulda thought before putting details of his illegal business onto a social media website... * +

good , surely they could have made assurances the drugs wouldn't be an issue , only any the information they required of the death. * +

The detectives on the case won't be interested in the drugs, so long as they have no link to the girl's death.

Thats not to say they won't tip-off the relevant department.. * +
