Nah, just a few permits, and you can easily enter Tibet. It's just government regulated in some area, doesn't mean the whole region is off limits. But we will see, hope for the best. * +

As far as I know , no independent travel is allowed in Tibet.. Besides a permit you need a private vehicle and a tour guide or its no go and I'm guessing the ' tour guide ' has his instructions.. They don't allow backpackers to go or people to wander w*lly nilly
But I hope that changes and you get there. * +
