There's nothing particularly unusual about thatnono.gif, plenty of bridges will shake when a lorry crosses them, with a certain amount of flexibility being built into them by design. * +

The 1.6mile long Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore has collapsed entirely after a giant container ship crashed into one of it's support towers. Authorities are reporting a ''mass casualty major incident''. The bridge carried a major highway across the Patapsko River and multiple vehicles are believed to have plunged into the freezing cold waters below. Rescue efforts are ongoing but at least 20 emergency workers are believed to have also fallen into the water during their attempts.

It happened at 1.30am local time, so hopefully traffic on the bridge won't have been as heavy as it would have been during the day time.
