It's the 'divine infallible plan' bit that really confuses me. If this divine plan is so infallible and everything that has ever happened or will ever happen in the future, is all part of 'gods' pre-ordained infallible plan, then wouldn't that make praying to this 'god' to ask it to change some part of it's divine plan that the prayer giver doesn't want/like, a completely pointless and selfish exercise in futility? I mean what is the point of praying for something to change if everything is pre-ordained as part of this infallible plan. Is that not like telling 'god' that it's plan is wrong and you want it changing?

I agree... it also paints the worst possible.picture of God imaginable imo. * +

Just google 'religion v medicine cases' and you'll find many similar cases of parents refusing to seek medical attention for their sick children in favour of praying for their god to save them instead. It's not an uncommon occurrence in the US and other countries, being particularly common in certain fundamentalist christian religious sects.

Evidence of Russian state trolls/bots on social media pushing anti-vaccination propaganda. Deliberately stoking fear and fueling paranoia, actively promoting and strengthening the core beliefs that lead to such religion v medicine cases.
