Okay this post might sound like it was taken out of a Mary Shelley novel.
But anyway.
It is claimed that it takes 7-10 years for your entire body to replace itself by cell renewal. (With the exception of neurons in the cerebral cortex.)
My question is, with people who have a hand transplant or similar, does this donor hand or similar eventually take the place of the host's DNA or does the DNA stay the same as the donor?
Oh, and it is claimed that your skin will regenerate itself approximately every 27 days. So this got me thinking.. * +
