A weasel walks into a bar.

The bartender looks up and says Wow! In all my years tending bar, I've never had a weasel stop by. What can I get you?

is this just a dry joke or is there some deeper meaning ?

Maybe it's the whole aspect of a dead subculturural scene clinged on to a joke about a weasel walking into the bar and being explained what it is all about while he looked at the bar tender with '' duh expression'' as if he knows what it's about and thus makes him an emo weasel too. Which is just cringe. * +

I meant the rhyme is cringe.

The joke, well, that's just a classic build-up to a recognised phrase for a punchline. The joke itself would be fine if it wasn't for its reference to that rhyme. * +

Just a stupid joke.

Like an elephant walks into a bar and asks the barman to fill his trunk and the barman asks what will it be and the elephant says two bottles of whisky, bottle of jack Daniels, 2 bottles of brandy and a diet coke.
The barman gets a bowl and is about to fill it when the elephant says no to fill my trunk.
The barman looks down and sees that the elephant is carrying a trunk.

It's just a play on words, took me a couple of seconds to make that up. * +
