Caster Semenya is fighting the IAAF's decision that she should lower her testosterone levels to compete... is this fair in your opinion... I see some gender equality group is backing her in this battle... but is it fair to let her compete against women with her higher testosterone levels..

let's forget abt if this is fair on her... is it fair on other female athletes. * +

It occurs in her naturally, so it's different to trans people who are allowed to dope and compete in some cases. Is it fair on female athletes? Is it fair to compete against different race groups who have naturally occurring different attributes to others. We already segregate the genders in sports and that seems somehow acceptable. Life isn't fair. The only 'fair' option would be to have open races / sports. The best humans compete regardless of gender etc. * +

I do think the way they have specifically treated her is terrible though. Basically making up rules retroactively just for the purposes of applying it to her. * +

We take two women and have them compete in a sport. One wins. We then scientifically investigate why she won. Turns out she has certain genetic strengths over the other one. So then we think its okay to weaken her with drugs, to give the other one a better chance in the next game.
