Not one to create reposts or topics for no reason, despite having just bumped a nostalgic/happy thread, we need to know... what year was it?
What year would you do again? And why?
Did it go so right you'd just love to revisit it? Or was it the one you got wrong, and wish you could put right?
Me, its.. hold on, let me work this out.. 1991. June '91 - June '92 if I could.
I had some amazing childhood memories and times, but my 18th year beat all of it (17yo). That was actually the year of my life. Possibly unusually. And maybe only in a temporary hindsight - maybe in time I'll look back and say this year was the one. Possibly the year I've been closest to my kid..
But until then, '91.
What was yours? * +

1990 Started gigging with a band. Played some bigger venues than I ever expected. Also 1996 met some musicians and we were just made to play together. We made some good money doing so. 3000 pounds in one night alone. The money was good but the actual chemistry we had as a band was amazing. * +

Year and time seem like human construct, I think it's always been a continuous stream, a flow rather than breaks that separate time from each other. I don't know if that makes sense.
I do delve into nostalgia now and then, almost indulgently so at times, but I know there is nothing more greater and no place I'd rather be than just this moment. Now. Every magic arises from here. Sufferings from past have just been a teacher of sort.
can't have awesome without a few lessons. Lol. * +

95-96 were good years, good people. I wish I'd been able to break out of my self imposed bubble I carried around with myself back then to appreciate it all more. * +

can't have awesome without a few lessons. Lol.The illusion of cycles that we hold onto, circles within circles, looping around each other as we spiral off into infinity.. * +

Still these cycles are beautiful, and the memories they hold are worth cherishing. I find it hard not to grasp onto those things, to find identity from them, and never lose them, but like the ocean waves, they come and go, rather enjoy the ride than to grasp these ocean waves.
