Without wanting to endorse your previous post, which you admit is a flawed view, the way you put it here does have some sense.

Too much political correctness has been intrusive not only to how things were done traditionally, but also how progress was being made - women were already car mechanics decades ago - Queen Elizabeth is a qualified car mechanic and used to repair army vehicles when she was young, so it's a bit fresh coming from the anti-monarchist left that they should be pushing for women in the field.

We already had female pilots, we already had male nurses. And it works when it's in the nature of the individual to do the job. They will volunteer, because that's what they personally want to do, which makes them a strong candidate for the job.

Try to force things with targets, and as ever, you end up getting the wrong results.

Let people choose for themselves and you will get a natural diversity that works. * +

Here we have to have a licence to work with children, I'd imagine it's the same in most places. I have no problem with men working with children. I don't know if I'd even really notice. Like, it wouldn't be a thing. *
