Yes, a trip to Egypt for a week, flights and acvomodation under 1000 bucks.

I feel like Ive won with this one. Only a week later, the same flight alone jumped to 1200. * +

I bought a book which I knew was pretty rare. I had searched bookshops for it for a few years. I knew it was quite valuable. Eventually I found a copy and bought it for 20 pounds. When I got home I researched it only to find it now sells for 7,000 pounds. Now THAT was a surprisingly good deal. * +
