Dead people release bacteria when they decompose so if they're stored in the same place it wouldn't be healthy I guess but they're not because there's a wall between them, if there isn't any health violation going on then it's okay.

Right, but most modern morques are actually refrigerated and have other mechanisms that delay decomposition by a large extent, and there are certain time periods, after which dead bodies are transfered either by the party who identified the corpse or other systems if the bodies remain unclaimed.

Anyway, back to the topic, I'm sure the store is separated by some form of partition, but it's interesting to see how we as western civilization are so afraid by the notion of death, it remains a topic of so much taboo and secrecy. Deaths are secretive, yet life is celebrated. It's interesting because both the notions are just as natural as each other.
in India for example, you'd see as death as a very natural phoenominon, never really quite hidden in view. Cremations occur very much in public sight, coffins are carried while pedestrians glance at them contently, albeit with a bit of sadness.
To me personally, it doesn't matter whether its a morque or a birth clinic, it's all the same. Life and death.
It's also true that we are so shocked when we find out someone died, like, ''Oh!, he died?!'' as if that was never going to happen and we're going to live forever. lol.gif * +

The morgue bit wouldn't bother me it's the overall hygiene of Africa that would bother me. We have a few African butchers in my area and they all stink to high heaven no way in the world would I buy anything from them * +
