for anyone bothered about alerts or anything like that just unplugh the remote display , and people need not worry about the actual meters consumption of electricity because their drawing unmetered power and just measure what your pulling through after that point.

The gas meter one has an internal battery no mains electrical connection.

The remote display unit with all the infos is perhaps just use as much power perhaps like a crap phone charger Eg: fu*k all.

Mine are both british gas and fkin crap because regular signal loss with silly beeps telling me to phone cust service up . I just plug that crap in when if i want to check howmuch ive used. * +

I haven't got a smart meter and i don't want one. Some of my neigbours have though. Mind you, i'm not with any of the big six or that other big rip off company EDF. I went to a smaller one last year which is much better. * +

Thanks every1 I've had a word with him and he reckons that he's going 2 tell them that I DO NOT WANT IT.I had 2 laugh as the bill isn't in my name.I told him I rather give him some extra money a month rather then have 1 of them installed *
