just interested on your views and thoughts on this....

here we have the first ever case of a woman being found guilty of racism and sentenced to 3 years in jail... 1 year to be suspended for 3 years ..

she called a black policeman the K word which is a really nasty and racist word... she said she didn't want a black person to help her after she was a victim of a smash and grab. apparently all thru the trial she showed no remorse either...

should ppl be jailed for using racist terms and racist behaviour? * +

I have no sympathy for hateful people. But it's just words. People have the right to show that they're a bigot, or that they're a narrow minded, or whatever.

But are we gonna support throwing someone in prison just because they called someone a word? What next, prison for calling someone a ginger nut?

Are we gonna support a government who want the power to be able to lock us up just because we call each other names?

my opinion is, stupid folk thinking they're black and white, would saying we're all brown lessen the created opposite colours, which some s think they are. see a school girl yesterday saying to a dark skinned boy, blah blah im different and white, because of what stupidness the parents have told them, felt like saying to her, don't be stupid you're light brown but alas some just want to be divided * +
