Of course if they were self funded they'd receive all the royal estate/lands/property income so they'd probably do quite well * +

they do enough for this country i think if they went away so would a very lot of tourism plus its part of our heritage.

no I wouldn't buy one, nothing against them as people (I don't know them), but as an institution it's a bit of an anachronism. * +

Yep I don't hate them as people,how could I as I don't know them personally. However this would be a great idea as it would allow people to opt out of paying for them. * +
