Agreed, the sentence was far too lenient. In the UK, a 'life sentence' actually means 25yrs, not 'until the offender dies in prison'. I don't know exactly why that is. * +

Because like many countries the focus is on the offender and 'rehabilitation' and other such nonsense. There's no reason for a person like this to continue to live. *
