Researching the site of an old railway line. You can see it on Google Earth, miles and miles of it, just in hedge rows.

And the towns and villages that used to have a train station.

I'll be walking along some of it. It's criminal that some of it is private land, though.
There's one here in MK that spans the width of the city, and the whole strip is a shared pedestrian cycleway. * +
