My Mumbai friend just confessed his feelings for me. We've known each other for years. He's one of my only 2-3 friends that I'm actually very close to. We talk/chat regularly.

He just messaged me and said he loves me in a 'more than just a friend' way and has done for a long time, and asked me to try and give it a shot - making it very obvious that he would like to instigate a romantic relationship. I only like him as a friend plus I don't want an online relationship. I'm not 18 lmaooooo. I don't know how to tell him. I knew he has liked me for a long time and has given signs, but he finally confessed it today. It happened.

I don't wanna be like 'aww let's just be friends' which we all know means go away. I know it's time to be honest, but I'm SO unsure about what exactly to say. Advice? * +

yeah don't be an aunt about it, but at the same time don't be trying to spare his feelings and do a terrible job of it because you were.

He said the only person he wants in his life is me, even though he knows he can't physically have me (cause I'm in Delhi) and said as long as I'm in his life, he's content. He said it's up to me followed by 'but would love if you'd give me a chance' making it obvious that he would like to instigate it. What on earth do I do? I have no romantic interest in him. But I value our friendship very much. * +
