Subject: Split second moments...

Yup I always look underneath every car that's parked up for any feet or cats, looking for any break in the light that shines underneath as I go down the road. My own street is the worst for parked cars and dilly dallying cats sunbathing on the road. I'm paranoid as fk.
Even if I hit a cat I'd be traumatised. * +

Same. Even a bird I wouldn't be happy abt. * +

We were driving one day, near Nelspruit by Watervalboven and I was admiring the scenery and a bird flew right in my window and left blood, obviously it was dead. I was sad the whole unexpected after that * +

I've hit too many animals to be bothered. I stayed with a bird whilst it died, it was breathing heavily, I calmed it down, maybe, until it went.
The only time I really felt bad was a tortoiseshell kitten. The road was busy, I couldn't do anything. It ran out in front, stopped, and looked at on-coming traffic. It was oblivious to my approach. I could only hope it'd turn and see me but it didn't. Any attempt to avoid it would have resulted in an accident, so it had to take the hit. It was such a shame. It ran off into the bushes, knee-jerk reaction style, but it'd got hit by the chassis of my ancient small-bumper car... no way survived. * +
