People get selective about what they wanna hear, because they get choosy about what they wanna be fed with. It's brain food. Information, and personal expression and selection of it, can change your perspective. Can change your mind. So people can be defensive about that. * +

If it is opinion. I see a lot of knowledge competition, too. Like invalidating people's knowledge, to validate their own, and half the time it all comes from the same sources anyway.. * +
