It's a big Buddha day here in Thailand. From midnight last night to midnight tonight there is an alcohol ban, shops can't sell and bars can't sell (officially unless u know places that do like me) do u think such a ban could be enforced in your country or would there be an uproar? * +

It's the vassa retreat marking the end of the rainy season. The Thai New year is in april and it's called Songkran (a big water festival (water fight) ) there's no alcohol ban for that. But loads of the Buddha days have alcohol bans. * +

I think it's too multicultural, they try to meet the needs of the many here. I don't think many would like to be asked to give up alcohol, it would probably be like the prohibition If they did. * +

Probably not, there'd be riots. Any ol' excuse to smash sh*t up

I'd happily see drink banned. It's the most horrific drug I've tried yet.
Too much of a graft for a sh*t buzz * +
