tinned fish has the highest levels of heavy metals of all foods... many times more mercury than you get in those vaccines that parents moan about.
you also need to be alive for well over 100 years to metabolise (get rid of) the stuff.

The expiry date is only an indication to the supermarket as to put it to the back of the shelf or not, ive eaten tins 10 years out of date before. * +
