Proven guilty... I agree with it. Everyone should have a fair trial and be treated fairly and be kept safe....

Now, I feel like a hypocrite because while I am cheerleader of the above, I also feel that ppl arrested for crimes like r*pe, murder and or any sexual molestation charges should not be granted bail..

I realise how hypocritical this may sound and probably is, but watching the news it was just brought home to me again, a man who stabbed a teenage girl 98 times was it on bail for a murder case pending. .

How do you feel abt this? * +

I think it depends on the crime, and associated risk.

If you're held in custody during a case, and found innocent, you'll need support and to be compensated. There should be laws in place to protect your status/job/finances/etc, these kept safe until the final hearing.

There are problems with this, such as re-opened cases, appeals etc but i think it's the right direction. * +

If someone has been charged but not convicted then it seems harsh i guess to remand someone. I remember the case of a famous actor being remanded in jail for months after being charged with r.ape. If i remember correctly he was found innocent. * +
